The CSSN (Christian Schools Sports Network) is a state-wide branch of the CSA (Christian Schools Australia) organisation. The CSSN aims to:
- Foster Christian thought, practice and administration in relation to sports and sporting events within and between Christian schools.
- Develop and promote appropriate policies, rules and guidelines, based on Christian principles, for the conduct of interschool sporting events with both Christian and other schools.
- Provide a pathway for students to participate in sporting competitions at a State or National level.
Over 25 schools from around the Melbourne & Geelong area compete in the CSSN, all finding the newly formed competition highly professional and of a standard seeking excellence from student competitors. It essentially a state level event, with it also being the qualifying round for National (NCSS) competition, and Victorian selection. With venues including Olympic Park (Athletics) and the Melbourne Sport and Aquatic Centre (Swimming), it’s clear that the CSSN strives for providing idealistic sporting events for students to compete in.
Covenant College compete in both Primary and Secondary CSSN competition in Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming, as well as some additional Secondary team sport competition across the year. Since CSSN inception in 2008, Covenant College have been crowned Secondary Cross County Champions, Secondary Athletics Champions and Primary Athletics Champions (twice).
